Dicker Data has inked a new distribution deal with AI data protection firm AvePoint.
Under the agreement, Dicker Data will distribute AvePoint’s SaaS-native platform, AvePoint Elements, providing partners with the capability to deliver managed services across data protection, security, governance and AI readiness within the Microsoft ecosystem.
AvePoint Elements is a SaaS-native, multi-tenant solution purpose-built for MSPs. Elements provides centralised visibility and control across customer environments, spanning data protection, governance, policy enforcement, risk management and security.
By combining AvePoint Elements with Dicker Data’s local Microsoft capability, enablement programs and partner ecosystem, the partnership aims to provide a scalable pathway for partners to evolve from backup and infrastructure providers into full-service data governance and AI readiness advisors.
Sarah Loiterton, GM of Microsoft Cloud for ANZ at Dicker Data, said partners are increasingly being asked to help customers ensure their data is not just accessible, but governed, secure and ready to support AI-driven outcomes.
“AvePoint adds a purpose-built platform layer to our Microsoft ecosystem that enables partners to operationalise those requirements at scale, while building high-value, recurring services around governance, protection and optimisation," she said.
Oliver Gohl, director of sales and channel ANZ at AvePoint, said the opportunity for partners is both immediate and significant, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem.
“MSPs are sitting on one of the biggest growth opportunities in the Microsoft ecosystem, but most are still yet to take advantage,” Gohl said.
“Our partnership with Dicker Data is about changing that. Together, we are giving partners the platform and commercial model to build scalable, high-margin services around data protection, security, governance, and AI. That is where the next wave of partner profitability sits.”
