Streaming TV and movie provider Quickflix is targetting Australian audiences through a new partnership with Dick Smith.

Dick Smith will promote the service through its retail stores and catalogues, offering customers a free introductory subscription – valued at $47.50 – for purchases of $100 or more.

The partnership will also see Dick Smith's Clever Dick customer support for customers who need held selecting and connecting their Quickflix devices.

Neil Merola, director of buying and marketing at Dick Smith, said: "Partnering with Quickflix means more of our customers will be able to stream content whenever and wherever they like."

The move marks another sign of diversification at Dick Smith, which recently launched its line of Move retail stores, combiing technology with fashion.

Dick Smith recorded better-than-expected sales in its most recent earnings.
