Consulting giant Deloitte has signed a global "bulk buy" reseller deal with SAP.
The deals lets Deloitte resell the vendor's ERP software and associated services for its member firms around the world.
"Clients are looking for creative approaches to lowering the cost of ownership," said Peter Ryan, Australian boss of Deloitte's Enterprise Applications practice. "Participation in the global VAR program will provide an additional way for us to fulfil these new needs."
Deloitte said it could now license SAP software directly to clients, allowing them to "tap into the power of SAP solutions through a single supplier in one packaged transaction".
As well as the software itself, through the new deal Deloitte member firms will be able to offer SAP maintenance, "industry-specific pre-configured solutions", implementation, and application maintenance in one package.
Deloitte acquired SAP specialist NXG Business Solutions in October, with intent to step up its SAP services. Internationally, Deloitte member firms have more than 11,000 employees working in SAP practices.
