Deloitte acquires Sydney Salesforce partner

Deloitte has acquired Cinder Agency to strengthen its Salesforce implementation presence in the Australian market.

Sydney-based Cinder Agency is a digital agency that assists clients with technical implementation of cloud-based marketing platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Cinder has undertaken more than 500 marketing technology platform integrations and migrations, according to Deloitte.

Cinder creates platforms that enable marketers to answer specific business challenges, including recovery solutions for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Snapshot, online shopping cart integrator ApreCart Abandoned Cart and Mobius, a platform that enables customer data acquisition via SMS, QR Code or NFC at point of sale. Deloitte will continue to offer these platforms.

Cinder’s co-founders, chief executive Miguel Leone and chief operating officer Daniel Tintner, will both join Deloitte’s customer behaviour team as directors, along with their team of consultants. The customer behaviour team is led by Deloitte Consulting partner Steve Hallam.

Deloitte chief executive Cindy Hook said Cinder was another strategic investment and building block for the firm’s technology and customer practices. "This is the third technology related transaction for our consulting practice in the past nine months."

Deloitte claims the addition of Cinder will make Deloitte's Salesforce team a market leader in the country.

Cinder chief executive and co-founder Miguel Leone said his team had worked with Deloitte on projects for several years and was excited about extending the relationship.

Deloitte's technology and marketing-related transactions, alliances and lateral hires started in December 2014, when it acquired software company Digivizer. In July 2015 it was Dataweave, a Sydney-based Oracle integrator, that Deloitte set its sights on. Customer experience consultancy MashUp was acquired in August 2015, followed by the acquisition of another Oracle partner, Sydney-based Qubit Consulting. Melbourne-based Cloud Solutions Group was next to be acquired in November 2015.

In 2016 the acquisitions continued, starting in July with Melbourne-headquartered enterprise integrator Sixtree, followed by corporate storyteller The Explainers in August and Victoria-based virtual reality firm Kid Neon in September.
