Dell Australia loses another senior channel exec

Fresh from parting ways with channel chief Geoff Wright, Dell EMC Australia has lost another senior channel executive.

That exec is Chris Moyle, who took to LinkedIn over the weekend to declare “It’s time for a change!” in the form of a move to Tableau Software.

Moyle’s new job won’t be a major change: he’ll go from being Dell EMC’s senior ANZ manager for partner sales to being Tableau’s senior ANZ manager for channels and alliances.

But he’s certainly making a leap into a new field, as Tableau specialises in data analysis and visualisation, a very different field indeed to Dell EMC’s hardware-dominated product range.

Tableau is 15 years old and closing in on US$1 billion annual revenue. The company’s products make it easy to ingest data sets and then create eye-catching presentations, thanks in part to having hired employees with backgrounds in Hollywood who marry storytelling and software skills.

Moyle should be busy, as Tableau lists 21 Australian partners with the biggest names being Datacom, UXC and SMS Consulting.

The company’s also on the hunt for more resellers.
