Data#3 scores $7m software asset management deal with Dept of Infrastructure

Data#3 has been awarded a contract to provide software asset management services for the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development.

The $7.25 million contract also covers software purchases and is a renewal of a current deal in place.

The Department did not reveal the specifics of the software involved, but said the deal covers all software procurement beyond whole-of-government mandated arrangements and “a small number of products where the suppliers will only transact directly with the Department”.

“Data#3 purchase on behalf of the department retail products, subscription licensing, fully packaged products, custom solutions, transactional licensing, enterprise arrangements, online products, and establish and renew support and maintenance agreements,” A department spokesperson told CRN.

The spokesperson added that Data#3 beat out just one other bidder and was chosen for value for money. Tender documents reveal the company was sourced from the Digital Marketplace Panel.

The contract runs from July 2019 to June 2022.
