The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has awarded Data#3 with a contract to supply Microsoft software licences.
The $7 million covers a number of Non-Common Cloud Commitment (CCC) licences that cover a range of enterprise products, not including Office and Windows. The contract runs from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2022.
The licences include Microsoft Dynamics, the CSIRO’s standard enterprise software for data management and resource planning.
A CSIRO spokesperson told CRN that Dynamics is used “in a wide variety” of the government agency’s applications and platforms.
The spokesperson added the contract is part of a Digital Transformation Agency volume sourcing arrangement with Microsoft, where all non-CCC products and services must be purchased from Data#3.
