Data#3 has taken home Cisco’s global award for partner of the year at the vendor’s Partner Summit in Las Vegas this week.

The award ceremony took place during the summit, recognising partners across the globe in specific technology market categories and overall performance and geographic regions.

“Data#3’s continued investment in Cisco has been instrumental in providing industry-leading services to our customers,” Data#3 group practice manager Graham Robinson said.

“As a Cisco Gold and Master partner, the team continuously push the boundaries with Cisco software; creating ground-breaking solutions, which transform our customers’ businesses. It was a proud moment to accept this award on behalf of the team.”

Data#3 general manager for infrastructure solutions John Tan told CRN the award recognised Data#3’s leadership in driving software sales, building out its software practices and following that up with lifecycle services.

“Our strategy of enabling customer success through comprehensive solutions, coupled with lifecycle activities, has been key in delivering real outcomes for our customers,” Tan said.

“Helping businesses to successfully navigate software, onboarding, adoption, and delivery has helped them to remain competitive in their markets. We have an extraordinary team of specialists, without whom, this award would not be possible. Well done to all involved.”

On top of the global award, Data#3 also scooped the ANZ partner of the year award.

A handful of other Australian partners picked up awards as well.

In the APJ category, Telstra won the architectural excellence partner of the year in the collaboration category, while Dimension Data Australia won the same award for enterprise networks.

Ingram Micro Australia picked up the award for distributor of the year; Optus received the service provider partner of the year award; and customer experience specialist Local Measure took the ecosystem partner of the year award.

This week at Cisco Partner Summit, the vendor has reinforced its vision to transform into a software-led company, overhauling its partner programs to reward software sales as well as encouraging recurring revenue models and customer experience.
