Data#3 partners with million-user schools software outfit CareMonkey

Data#3 has partnered with Melbourne-based medical record platform CareMonkey to sell its paperless health and safety solution to Australian schools.

CareMonkey's software gives authorised teachers and carers access to digitally stored medical and contact details in the event of an emergency.

The partnership will be incorporated into Data#3's Anywhere Classroom strategy, which endeavours to enhance the delivery of education through the use of mobile solutions. 

David Wain, Data#3's national practice manager for education, said: "The Anywhere Classroom transforms schools by leveraging mobility to make learning more personalised and collaborative. CareMonkey's mobile health and safety solution is already proven in the education sector, helping to eliminate paper-based medical and consent forms, while significantly reducing risk and liability for schools."

CareMonkey chief executive Troy Westley is confident his company can expand its market presence in Australia through its partnership with Data#3. 

"The relationship between Data#3 and CareMonkey is unique. Data#3 is the first public Australian company to resell CareMonkey," he said. "They also have a dedicated CareMonkey sales team and a large customer base in the education sector."

Data#3 revenue for the financial year of 2016 was up by 13 percent, posting a total $938.2 million. The Brisbane-headquartered IT solution provider saw a 110 percent increase in cloud revenue alone.

CareMonkey said it had one million users around the world, supported out of three data centres: Australia, Ireland and the US. CareMonkey is free for families, friends and individuals.
