Data#3 joins international alliance of top IT providers
Laurence Baynham

Data#3 has announced its admission as the eighth solutions provider, and the first Australian company, into the Global IT Alliance (GITA).

"Becoming a member of the GITA allows us to partner with companies that can offer the same high-quality standards, in international markets in which we don’t have physical offices," said Data#3 chief executive officer Laurence Baynham.

GITA was founded in 2014 when European IT services provider Bechtle AG saw a customer need for an alliance of international suppliers.

The international network now includes solutions providers Atea (Scandinavia and the Baltic states), Datacentrix (South Africa), JBS (Japan), JOS (China, Malaysia and Singapore), Lexel (New Zealand) and PC Connection (USA).

Bechtle selects the members, in cooperation with vendor partners.

"The alliance is consistent with our strategy to help customers achieve their business objectives, through our partnership approach," said Baynham.

Bechtle AG operates in 66 locations throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plus has e-commerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries.
