D-Link has recruited Netgear's Andrew Trickett to head up the company's service provider business, while his predecessor Brett Lilley has jumped to Netcomm Wireless.
Trickett (pictured, left), formerly Netgear's regional manager for ISP, was announced this morning as D-Link's new 'head of service provider business', replacing Brett Lilley.
"With his deep technical knowledge and understanding of the service provider market, our clients in this space can look forward to enjoying even higher levels of engagement," said D-Link ANZ managing director Graeme Reardon.
Meanwhile, Trickett's predecessor Lilley (pictured, right) has defected to another networking rival, Netcomm Wireless, to become its new national sales manager for service providers.
"Brett brings a wealth of industry experience to the role and we look forward to further driving our growth in the ISP market," said Netcomm chief executive David Stewart.
Lilley previously spent five years at Cisco.
Before his almost 12-year stint at Netgear, Trickett served three years at Netcomm Wireless. His extensive networking vendor background has meant he has "hands-on experience across 3G/LTE, HFC, FTTP, xDSL, VoIP and DECT technologies", according to D-Link.
"I’m delighted to be joining D-Link at a time when the company’s ANZ business is breaking records, and as the potential for exciting technologies designed to address the requirements of the NBN, mobility and 4K content reaches new levels," said Trickett.
Taiwanese vendor D-Link landed in hot water earlier this month for replicating a software vulnerability into more than 120 products and 400,000 devices.
Netcomm is an ASX-listed Australian vendor that distributes to the US channel via Arrow. Netgear is a US company listed on the NASDAQ.
