Taiwanese network products maker D-Link has named company veteran Roger Kao as its new CEO and chairman.
The company, which turns 25 this year, also announced the appointment of long-time board member A.P Chen as president.
The two men take over from Tony Tsao who had been D-Link CEO and president since 2008.
Kao was invited to join D-Link in 1986 by his brother and company co-founder Ken Kao, who passed away in 2008.
In accepting the top job he said the company would continue to focus on extending the success of the D-Link brand “through continued conscientious and aggressive leadership within the industry”.
He added that D-Link intended to invest in developing cloud-based technology solutions.
