CRN's latest poll asked: Have Netbooks revitalised the consumer electronics market?
80 percent of readers said yes, it's great for consumers but doesn't bring in the margins for resellers.
While 12 percent said yes, consumers can't get enough of these nuggets of hardware.
Only 8 percent voted no, consumers can't even afford these cheap products in these economic times.
Netbooks are certainly attractive to the end-user, with prices for the hardware, ranging from $400-$800 dollars.
If the results are anything to go by, netbooks don't bring the margins that high-end notebooks or high-end PC's once did.
What do resellers think of the machines?
Has the introduction of netbooks affected the sales of high-end machines?
Will vendors continue to produce cheaper and smaller machines, further reducing margins?
