Mitel partner Connectel has won a deal installing a unified communications solution at Great Ocean Road real estate in Victoria.
Geelong-based Connectel said it had designed and implemented the system and would also provide "ongoing remote management and support for the entire data and voice infrastructure" at the agency.
It installed a Mitel 3300 IP communications platform at each of agent's four offices.
An integrated employee directory was now used across the offices to simplify call handling, Connectel said.
The LAN infrastructure for each office was also upgraded with HP ProCurve 2610 switches supporting power over Ethernet, improving network performance and simplifying electrical cabling requirements, it said.
"Our business has grown rapidly through the merger of several real estate agencies, and we found ourselves with separate phone systems at each of our offices," said Brad Weetman, finance manager for Great Ocean Road Real Estate.
"We crunched the numbers, and found that by moving to Mitel we could spend less every month, while providing all of our employees with the latest unified communications and conferencing tools."
