CompTIA rolls out free legal resources for MSP
Nick Beaugeard

CompTIA has started to offer free legal resources for its Australian registered users and premier members.

The industry group has made available the Managed Service Provider Agreement for Australia, a form that covers what businesses need when entering into a MSP contract, according to CompTIA.

"These resources are designed for new and established solution providers and will provide the basic forms they will need to sell software and services, conduct negotiations, and contract their services," said CompTIA ANZ executive council member and The Missing Link general manager Karen Drewitt.

The association is aiming to provide legal information that covers all aspects of a business.

Registered users have instant access to CompTIA reports, training materials and access to communities. Premier members receive guidance from industry experts and access to events.

‎Nick Beaugeard, chief executive and founder at HubOne and CompTIA ANZ community chair said: "The legal resources being created specifically for Australian market will, once complete, offer a set of legal resources tailored for the unique needs of IT companies in the region. We are offering members a comprehensive yet easy-to-use library to help them work through the legal issues which arise in day-to-day business operations."

In June, CompTIA had also released a 'best practice' guide for managed service providers with insights into business practices, which complemented the channel standards released in April.
