Commvault expands cyber resilience ecosystem with new security partnerships

Data protection solutions provider Commvault has announced strategic integrations with five key security partners: Acante, Dasera, Google Cloud, Splunk, and Wiz.

This expansion of integrations aims to enhance cyber resilience across various environments, from on-premises to hybrid and cloud setups.

The move comes at a critical time, as recent research commissioned by Commvault reveals that only 13 per cent of organisations are fully prepared to defend against and recover from cyberattacks.

This statistic underscores the urgent need for robust security measures in today's digital landscape, Commvault said.

"It takes a village to fight today's cyber threats, and through these integrations, we help enable our customers to build a bridge towards true organisational resilience," said Rajiv Kottomtharayil, chief product officer at Commvault.

These new partnerships bring diverse capabilities to Commvault's ecosystem, such as:

- Acante offers data access governance for modern data and AI clouds.
- Dasera provides data security posture management (DSPM) solutions.
- Google Threat Intelligence delivers AI-powered threat visibility.
- Splunk enhances threat detection with advanced data analytics.
- Wiz excels in providing clarity and visibility for cloud security.

The collaborative approach aims to address the complex challenges of modern cybersecurity.

By integrating these specialised tools, Commvault seeks to offer its customers a more comprehensive defence against evolving threats, an environment in which only just over half of organisations are fully confident in their recovery abilities.
