Cisco taps new Australian enterprise MD

Cisco Australia has appointed Leo Makhlin as its new managing director of enterprise sales, the networking giant has confirmed.

Makhlin is a former high-ranking Cisco executive, with his resume including a previous role as vice president, global enterprise for Asia-Pacific, Japan & China. He was also a general manager of major accounts for nine years at Cisco.

His most recent role was as managing director at JPMorgan Chase in New York, according to his resume. Makhlin previously spent four years as the director of Cisco's global JPMorgan Chase client team.

Makhlin's initial focus will be on customers and partners, a Cisco spokesperson told CRN.

It is thought he will report into Cisco Australia managing director Ken Boal, along with other senior local directors such as Jason Brouwers, director of the partner business group, and Jonathan Dixon, director of Cisco's service provider & cloud business unit.
