Ingram Micro's senior general manager of vendor management, Chris Price, has resigned from the distributor.
Staff were informed of the news on Thursday.
Price will leave at the end of September, with Ingram Micro chief country executive Felix Wong set to step into the role of vendor management and take over Price's team.
Wong told CRN: "I’m grateful to Chris for his contribution to the success of Ingram Micro in the Australian marketplace and wish him all the best for his future."
Although Price is a veteran of the distribution world, it is understood he will be moving to a role on the vendor side.
Price has spent much of his career at Ingram Micro through multiple stints that began in the '90s with Tech Pacific, which Ingram acquired in 2004.
He also spent eight years at Dicker Data, rising to the role of commercial director, before he left in September 2014, and rejoined Ingram several months later.
Price was promoted to Ingram's top vendor management role in June 2015.
Commerce & Lifecycle Solutions
Ingram also announced an internal appointment following the global decision to combine two of its divisions, lifecycle services and commerce and fulfilment services.
Alan Nanson, formerly ANZ director of commerce & fulfillment and managing director of Brightpoint New Zealand, has been appointed to the Australia & New Zealand leadership role of the new Commerce & Lifecycle Solutions (CLS) business unit.
John Stinson, director of lifecycle services, will now report into Nanson.
"We have a dedicated team of experienced staff ready to assist partners across an array of full-service offerings, and are excited for the opportunity and growth potential we can help our partners tap into," said Wong.
