IntraPower’s group managing director, Greg Kennish, wants resellers to connect their customers with IntraPower’s IP over telephony products which allows Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) connect.
Founded in 1998, IntraPower is a provider of IP protocol based professional services and products to the corporate and government sectors. The company was acquired and recapitalised in late 2002 by the IP Group PTY LTD, which changed the focus of business.
According to Kennish IP Group Pty Ltd is the intellectual holder of IntraPower’s enabling technology Visibility.X - the key differentiator in provisioning and enabling virtual ISPs and virtual telcos with an “end to end ‘one stop shop’ solution from initial provisioning, network management to branded billing services and providing retail consumers with complete visibility of the delivery systems and processes,” he said.
“We require resellers to look at our tailor made solutions and see for themselves that our products have been tried and proven in the marketplace for the past ten year,” he claimed. “Our products allows for SIP connect which means resellers can deliver a seamless replacement for traditional PABX system.”
According to Kennish, Intrapower also wants to inform resellers of a new trend towards hosted PABX system. He said: “Recently a tender went out in the US which called for hosted PABX services. This is something we have been watching and we believe it will be a hot topic.”
IntraPower has around 1600 customers, with 30-40 percent of its $29 million (for the 2007/08 financial year) coming from the channel.
“Currently our partners would be in the dozen or so figure head. Margins for products are up to 25 percent, which are good margins. We believe we have the products, a proprietary platform and solutions to make the channel partners money,” he said.
Kennish is adamant IntraPower won’t compete with its channel for customers and will withdraw its bid if that occurs.
