Carbon Black taps Accenture's Rob Dooley to lead ANZ business

Endpoint security vendor Carbon Black has named Rob Dooley as its new manager for Australia and New Zealand as it looks to expand further in the region.

Dooley joins out of Accenture, where he was senior manager for financial services from 2016.

Carbon Black provides cloud-based endpoint security with its big data and analytics cloud platform, the Cb Predictive Security Cloud. The solution consolidates prevention, detection, response, threat hunting and managed services into a single platform with a single agent and single console.

“Rob has a great track record with tier-one companies and we are confident he will play a key role in helping driving Carbon Black’s expansion in ANZ,” Carbon Black managing director for APJ Matt Bennett said.

“Carbon Black is leveraging the power of big data and analytics to solve the evolving challenges of endpoint security. The Cb Predictive Security Cloud is transforming cybersecurity and protecting global organisations against the most advanced threats.”

Prior to joining Accenture, Dooley also worked at IBM as a client solutions executive and at BT global services as head of sales for ANZ. He also held roles for Optus subsidiary Alphawest and Macquarie Telecom in various managerial roles.

In August, Carbon Black channel chief Marco Corrent discussed the company’s Australian strategy with CRN, aiming to to rival the likes of Symantec, McAfee, Sophos and Kaspersky as a top endpoint player in the country.
