Canberra-based IT service management provider Epicon has acquired ServiceNow partner Service Potential.

The deal will boost Epicon’s IT service management (ITSM) and ServiceNow capabilities, and extend its reach to Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Founded in 2011, Service Potential specialises in ITSM and system integration services for federal government clients. The company is also a Premier Sales and Services ServiceNow Partner.

“It was clear from early discussions with Epicon that we share the same vision of investing in our people and improving the outcomes for our customers,” Service Potential chief executive Matt Campbell said. “We are now able to leverage Epicon’s deep systems integration capabilities and combine them with Service Potential’s ServiceNow platform expertise.”

“This is a win-win for both Epicon and Service Potential, strengthening Epicon’s position as a partner of choice for the Federal Government and industry,” Campbell added.

The acquisition continues Epicon growth strategy, which in 2019 also saw the appointments of Wayne Gowland as CEO and Leuk Andersen as GM of NSW.

Commenting on the deal, Gowland said, “Matt and his team at Service Potential have built an impressive business with a genuine care for their customers and team.”

“There is a strong cultural fit for both organisations and this presents enormous opportunities for our respective customers and teams.”
