Canberra MSP Epicon hires Wayne Gowland out of ASG Group as chief executive

Systems integrator Epicon has named Wayne Gowland as its new chief executive, as founder Yair Tzur shifts to a new role.

Gowland joins from ASG Group, where he was general manager until 2018.

“Wayne is renowned as one of our industry’s most respected leaders and we are delighted to have him as part of the team,” Tzur said.

“With Wayne now focused on the day to day running of the business, I will have time to focus on our product development and longer-term business strategy”.

Canberra-based Epicon works closely with federal and state government departments, Optus, Telstra and other private sector organisations as a reseller for Microsoft, Nutanix, AppDynamics, Atlassian, Spunk, among others.

The company has been part of the Digital Transformation Agency’s Software Licensing and Services Panel and the Treasury's ICT Professional Services panel.

Gowland joined ASG’s Canberra office in 2010, later moving up to general manager in 2013. He also worked in management roles at Unisys and Telstra.
