Canberra-based Qirx has won a $5.6 million converged deployment for the Department of Social Services.
A department spokesperson told CRN the deployment will replace existing storage and computer infrastructure that is nearing end of life, as well as traditional three tier data centre infrastructure.
Qirx is a partner of both Nutanix and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, but the department did not specify the vendor involved.
“Qirx was selected through an open approach to market through AusTender in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules,” the spokesperson said.
“The evaluation of responses resulted in a three year standing offer arrangement being established with Qirx in February 2019.”
Last year, Qirx implemented Nutanix infrastucture at six Canberra schools and colleges, including Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS), Radford College, Marist College, Merici College, Daramalan College and St. Francis Xavier College.
