Otto IT continued to push forward in the 2025 financial year, increasing revenue four per cent to reach $8.5 million and earning 27th place in the 2025 techpartner.news Fast50.

A managed services provider first and foremost, 60% of the company's revenue came through selling services, with the remaining 40% evenly split between the sale of hardware and software.

Managed services accounted for a third of FY2025 revenue, not unexpected for an MSP.

However, a third of revenue also came from cybersecurity services through Huntress, one of Otto IT’s main vendor partners.

The other main vendor was Microsoft, which was procured primarily through Pax8.

Cloud services, SaaS licences and unified communications were the other main contributors to Otto IT’s bottom line.

Otto IT chief customer officer Megan Visser said the company’s growth was the result of several factors.

“We’ve invested significantly in our marketing and sales teams, which has resulted in a tenfold improvement in growth compared to previous years. That focus on building strong commercial capability has really paid off,” she said.

There was also a “considerable amount of time” spent developing automation and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for both internal use and customers, Visser added.

“These innovations have helped us deliver smarter, more efficient services and positioned us as a trusted partner for organisations navigating digital transformation,” she told techpartner.news.

The Melbourne-based company serves a wide range of customers with manufacturing being its top key vertical, followed by not-for-profit and then agriculture, forestry and fishing.

Otto IT has a strong mid-market presence, with 90% of its customers having between 21 and 100 seats.

Visser said future growth plans were to deepen existing client relationships and diversify Otto IT’s portfolio.

“We’re also investing in emerging technologies such as AI-driven analytics and cloud optimisation to stay ahead of market needs. Another priority is strengthening strategic partnerships, which will help us deliver integrated solutions and scale faster,” she explained.

As the company has grown rapidly, a main challenge was maintaining culture and service quality.

“Growth often brings complexity, and we didn’t want to lose the agility that defines us," Visser said.

"To address this, we invested in internal systems and processes early, and prioritised hiring people who align with our values. This allowed us to scale without compromising on client experience,” she said.

With offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in addition to its Melbourne headquarters, Visser said Otto IT is always on the lookout for expansion opportunities and will consider options throughout 2026.

“At the same time, we’re proud to be headquartered in Melbourne and have strong investment locally to support our business community. That local focus remains a big part of who we are."
