Autodesk will increase the prices of some of its subscription and multi-user products later this month.
The 3D design and engineering software vendor revealed that some of its subscription-based products and industry collections with multi-user access will increase by 2.5 percent and 10 percent, respectively, on 27 March 2019.
However the price increase won’t cover customers on maintenance plans and those who have switched from maintenance to subscription at a special price.
"Like many software providers, Autodesk occasionally adjusts pricing to deliver the technology enhancements and support our customers depend on," Autodesk's statement read.
"There are many factors that go into how we price our products—market conditions in the countries we do business, improvements we’ve made to our tools and technology, the cost of business operations, and more."
Distributor Ingram Micro informed its resellers of the changes by email, saying Autodesk wants to be able to “continue to provide industry leading software”.
“After March 27, existing customers will renew at the new prices and new customers will subscribe at the new prices,” Ingram Micro’s Autodesk team said.
“As this affects both new and renewal subscriptions, please consider closing any renewal or new business opportunities before the price increase on 27 March.”
