Australia will be the first country in the world to have two Gigabyte gaming notebooks available as new products are added to its local distribution.
Synnex's product director, Yu-Chen Liao, said to CRN: "We'll be the first country in the world to have access to these models."
Liao said high demand and scarce components meant stock availability was low.
"Demand is very high for these gaming laptops. Based on current inventory, there will be a shortage."

Once stock is replenished, resellers who place their orders within the morning will receive replenishment on the same day. To achieve this level of support, Synnex has had to acquire its own fleet of trucks and manage four warehouses in Australia, one of which is automated.
Gigabyte currently offers components, netbooks and notebooks in Australia.
Synnex plans on distributing "nine different models", however, Liao said if demand is great enough the company will consider offering Gigabyte PCs and Ultrabooks to more Australian resellers.
The new Gigabyte deal adds to a number of new lines for Synnex; the distie was recently appointed as the Australian distributor of ADATA products, a leading manufacturer of DRAM Modules.
It also added printer manufacturers Lexmark and Epson.
