Aussie Broadband has launched a new end-to-end online signup for enterprise NBN services, but says that while it is marketing the service as a simpler way to acquire data services it will also serve the channel well.
“We know that one of the biggest challenges for all businesses, from SME’s through to enterprise customers, is the time and complexity ordering services from the Big 4,” said general manager for sales Aaron O’Keeffe. “ Aussie Broadband’s response to that complexity is online ordering that allows business to “build their own enterprise nbn network, including multi-site businesses building an internet-only or private IP network”, and do it all online.
That’s an arrangement that seemed to CRN to offer business a neat way to deal with Aussie direct, and ignore the ISP’s channel.
But O’Keeffe told CRN he thinks Aussie’s channel should embrace the new offering.
“We would encourage any existing and potential partners to begin using our online system as it gives them immediate service qualification results for NEBS (NBN Ethernet Bitstream Service) and Enterprise Ethernet Category A services and immediate pricing for our entire suite of Enterprise grade NBN services,” O’Keeffe said. “It also gives them the ability to provision a new NEBS based service up to 1000/400Mbps in a short time frame.”
He therefore suggested “Our MSP partners purchase the services from us directly and on bill them to their clients.”
O’Keeffe added that any channel player could use the new portal to buy services it on-sells, but “if they wish to promote themselves as an Aussie Broadband partner and have an Aussie Broadband account manager they can deal with, they need to enter into a partner agreement with us.”
