ASX-listed software vendor doubles as reseller
Assetic director of client services Ashay Prabhu

TechnologyOne's partnership to sell Assetic's strategic asset management (SAM) in Australia has seen sales of the third-party software jump 10 percent in the past financial year.

ASX-listed TechnologyOne couples Assetic's SAM solution with its own enterprise asset management solution to deliver "the market’s first fully integrated, total asset management solution".

The partnership has helped TechnologyOne lock in 10 major customers in a year, including Toowoomba Regional Council (QLD), The Hills Shire Council (NSW), City of Canada Bay (NSW), City of Charles Sturt (SA) and City of Fremantle (WA).

Assetic director of client services Ashay Prabhu told CRN: "TechnologyOne acts as a reseller. What we've done with them as a partner is develop web services on both ends that allow the two services to connect."

Prabhu claims a typical deal for Assetic "will be anywhere from $140,000 to about $300,000".

"Combined with TechOne, the average deal would be $700,000 to $1.2 million."

Over the next 12 month's, Prabhu expects Assetic's sales to jump 25-30 percent because strategic asset management is "now essential in any government tender".

"Every tender now asks categorically for enterprise or the strategic asset management module. It has become a must-have," Prabhu said.

"The market need has exponentially increased over the last two to three years."
