Former ShoreTel executive Michael Albrecht has been named Aspect Software regional sales director for Australia and New Zealand.
Albrecht has 20 years' experience in the telecommunications industry, having started his career at NSC Group in 1995. He then worked for Nortel, 3D Networks and Commander before re-joining 3D Networks as a senior account manager.
After almost three years he moved back to NSC Group for five years where he was an account director. In 2014, he moved to ShoreTel where he has been a client sales executive for the Northern Region for the past two and a half years.
Albrecht will be based in Sydney and will be responsible for new business development, account management and partner engagement. He will report to Australia and New Zealand managing director Kristen Pimpini.
Pimpini said the appointment of Albrecht was an important step in the company's growth plans.
Aspect Software has gone through a transformation with the launch of it cloud-based customer engagement platform, which also led to the company's local expansion and staff hires.
