ASG will manage the departments’ IT infrastructure, supplying desktops, laptops, servers and printers over a four year period, with an option to extend for an additional four years. ASG will also provide a comprehensive service desk for all Departmental staff.
This latest contract is one of ASG’s largest Federal Government contracts to date and will be managed out of the Company's Federal Region office in Canberra.
ASG has invested in a national, scalable platform of technology, process and personnel over the past three years that enable it to deliver large scale IT utility services at low risk, said Richard Everett, general manager federal region of ASG.
“The contract came as a result of discussions. There are a number of Federal-level tenders coming up in the next few months and we believe this latest contract win with the Federal Government positions ASG very well to further build our position in this very important market,” Everett said.
“We look forward to bringing to bear our broad government experience and national capability in delivering this project over the next four years.”
The national contract is valued at an estimated $30 million over the contracted period. This incorporates an initial four year period with an option to extend the contract for an additional four years, he said.
