Cloud specialist ASE has appointed Cristian Ibarburu as its business development manager for Australia.

Ibarburu joins from Engin, where he spent six years as channel support manager. He was also a system analyst for IBM.

The new role will see Ibarburu responsible for developing business opportunities, building key customer and channel partner relationships and implementing sales objectives and strategies for the region.

“Cristian joins ASE at the right time, as cloud adoption amongst Australian organisations is now becoming mainstream. Our business continues to evolve and expand, boosted by the demand for managed services,” said chief executive Andrew Sjoquist.

ASE is a global cloud services provider headquartered in Sydney. It services over 150 customers and has certified partnerships with companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, VMware, NetApp, ITIL, Prince2, Redhat and ISO.
