Red Education will provide enterprise networking specialists with training on Aruba’s wireless LAN and secure mobility devices. The training will cover design, implementation, support and troubleshooting around the vendor’s networking solutions.
Aruba partners will be able to complete an Advanced Design and Operations course which is a pre-requisite for qualification as an Aruba Certified Mobility Professional or Aruba Certified Mobility Expert.
Rob Howard, sales director at Red Education, said the training partnership was borne from a long relationship between the two companies.
“We’ve know Aruba for quite some time and been talking to them about becoming their authorised training centre," he said. "The timing became right, we had the people and the process and the market reach to be able to help them, so we joined forces."
Approximately 90 people have already undertaken the training, with Howard predicting a further 250 will pass through the certification program over the next financial year. Partners are able to buy discounted training for their internal engineers as well as being able to resell it to their end-users.
Howard said that specialist training is vital for partners offering complex technologies.
“Vendors, generally speaking, aren’t able to provide all of the services required to go into a customer solution," he said. "That’s why they have partners; otherwise they’d do it themselves. So partners really need to be able to have all these skills if they’re going to be able to deliver an effective solution to their customers. It helps them with adding value to their customers,” he said.
