The manufacturer of PC-TV and digital audio/video products has extended its Compro IP Security to include cameras with a Network Video Recorder (NVR) software; the VideoMate IP 50, IP 70, IP 530 and IP 550.
Steve Grant national marketing manager for Anyware said Compro has had a lot of success from its TV tuner aligner business and by launching into security cameras it's a logical extension of its business.
"They are interested to produce products that are complementary to their core business. It's a logical progression to move into IP cameras. It is technology that people are learning more about," he said.
"Anyware has been working with Compro for a number of years now. Most of their products are exciting. With TV tuners you can turn your PC into a TV, a lot of business comes from word of mouth. People are just finding out about the technology.
"Their take up of these products has been outstanding. We get a lot of repeat business out of them. People now want more from their home entertainment."
Grant said security is one segment the company wants to increase because Compro sees bigger opportunities within the home market.
"We will be doing a fair bit of marketing support to end users and educating the channel as well," he said.
"With some products there is a lot of information that people need to digest and we will be getting our sales force to go out and educate the market place to improve awareness."
The IP 50 and IP 70 series provide an indoor fixed camera solution with built-in Smart Motion Detection, two-way audio with built-in MIC and speaker, and digital I/O for external sensor and alarm.
The IP 530 and IP 550 series enable users to view Pan of 340 degrees, Tilt of 100 degrees, and both Optical (IP550) and Digital Zoom (IP530) control for remote security monitoring through LAN or Internet.
"To the small business owners or home users, the Compro IP array provides an easy to use, effective high performance professional grade level security solution to meet the most diverse and demanding needs anytime, anywhere around the globe," said Sharon Chen marketing specialist Compro Technology.
