Ambertech records $9m Vic Police contract

Distie Ambertech has won a $9 million tender to install digital interview recording equipment at Victorian Police stations and facilities.

The firm said it had already supplied some $5 million of kit - about 500 units manufactured by David Horn Communications (DHC) - and services in the first year of the contract.

The rollout is part of a wider Digital Evidence Capture (DEC) project currently in progress at the state enforcement agency.

"The tender win reinforces Ambertech's position as a market leader in supply and support for Australia's Law Enforcement sector," said corporate marketing manager Garrick Simeon.

"Our distribution of DHC products complements the quality offerings we offer to the defence, law enforcement and security market nationally."
