Amaysim renews Optus reseller deal

Amaysim has agreed to a new wholesale network services agreement with Optus, extending their partnership until the year 2022.

The mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) with Optus since its inception in 2010, selling SIM-only mobile plans.

Under the new deal, Amaysim will change the way it acquires data inclusions and network services from Optus. The telco said this move would enable faster product deployment, the development of new features and services, as well as better flexibility and competitiveness.

“Amaysim and Optus have had a highly successful and mutually beneficial partnership since 2010. We both recognised the need to revitalise the network services agreement to better align with the growth ambitions of each company,” Amaysim managing director Peter O’Connell said.

“Amaysim’s growth in this dynamic mobile market will deliver long term strategic value for shareholders through increased brand awareness, compelling products and a quicker response to market dynamics and customers’ evolving needs.”

“Our strategic partnership with Amaysim is indicative of Optus’ ability to attract and work with high quality wholesale customers who can leverage our premium national mobile network,” Optus managing director for business and wholesale Ben White said.
