Artificial intelligence analytics platform provider Alteryx said it has appointed Marie Holmes as its new country manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Holmes replaces Heidi Badgery, who has moved on to global workflow automation company Formstack, taking on the role of senior vice president of international operations.

Moving from VMware (now owned by Broadcom) where she drove the Tanzu business as senior director, Holmes brings over 25 years of technology industry experience.

In her new role, Holmes will spearhead Alteryx's business activities and partnerships across ANZ, leveraging the company's AI driven analytics platform for decision making and operational efficiencies.

Holmes' extensive background includes senior leadership positions at global technology companies including Amdocs and Logica.

Jason Janicke, senior vice president of international sales at Alteryx, said Holmes' leadership will be crucial as organizations grapple with managing and utilising vast amounts of data in the AI era.

"Marie's impressive experience in the enterprise software industry, coupled with her strong leadership skills, will be instrumental in accelerating Alteryx's next phase of growth in the ANZ region," Janicke said.

Holmes' appointment comes as ANZ businesses are projected to increase their investment in data initiatives by more than US$3.5 billion in 2025, Alteryx believes.

Alteryx currently counts over 8000 customers globally with its AI Platform for Enterprise Analytics, offering solutions deployable across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
