Under the distribution agreement, Altech will distribute Hitachi GST’s product line of HDDs for notebooks, desktop PCs, servers and consumer electronics devices.
Altech will also have access to Hitachi’s breadth of sales, technical and marketing tools for distribution partners, said Anthony Shee, managing director at Altech.
“Our relationship is expected to speed Hitachi GST customers’ time-to-market, ultimately enhancing their competitiveness,” said Sheen.
Altech distributes a broad range of IT products, from HDDs to complete systems and has a wide channel and OEM distribution network including around 6,000 resellers, system builders and IT consultants in the Pacific region said James Ho, managing director Asia Pacific Hitachi GST.
“Hitachi GST is expanding its distribution channel in the Pacific region to meet the growing demand across consumer, IT and enterprise segments,” he said.
“Altech has extensive knowledge and experience, and a distribution network in the Australian and New Zealand markets. The new partnership will help boost our market size in this region.”
Hitachi GST will now have two distributors, Altech and existing distributor, Legend Performance Technology to expand its channel business in the Pacific region, said Sheen.
