Ajilon signals ambitious east coast assault

Perth-headquartered service provider Ajilon is snapping up high-profile NSW customers and hopes to double its workforce on the Australian east coast.

While the company already has about 450 consultants in the country’s east, managing director Ger Doyle said he would like up to 900 in three years.

Ajilon has notched up a growing tally of NSW clients, including Sydney Trains, NSW Health, and Water NSW (previously called Sydney Catchment Authority).

Doyle described the east coast as "a huge market."

"The public sector and federal market will be our key focus. We've got a lot of IP we’re bringing with us in that space,” he said.

Doyle is also moving to live on the east coast, after eight years living in Western Australia. “I think coming here really proves to the market and clients how serious we are about the east coast for the next two to three years."

In addition to at least 1,000 people Ajilon has in Australia, the company last year partnered with Indian firm ITC Infotech to access another 6,000 offshore.

The firm counts Microsoft, AWS, SAP, Oracle, SAS, TIBCO and Ventyx among its partners and has a presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane, in addition to Perth.

Mining is a major focus, as well as the public sector. In Western Australia, Ajilon has been recognised for its work for the Western Australia Police. Last year CRN reported the firm had more than 100 police contracts.
