Seagate has signed up distributors Achieva and eSys to help take its SV35 range out to the Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) surveilance market.
The two distributors have been given rights to the entire catalogue of Seagate products but will focus on its new SV35 range, which has been designed for the DVR market, Kevin Lee AP channel marketing and sales Seagate said.
George Skaf general maanger of eSys said the distie had been supplying products to the surveillance industry for the past two years.
"It was natrual for Seagate to pick us as a distributor for their SV35 range of products because of our previous experience," he said.
According to Lee the traditional storage market was currently being flooded with products. However there are no plans to drop any existing partners because the “traditional market is still viable.”
