Accelerus acquires school management software

Melbourne-based school software developer Accelerus has acquired Xuno, a school management application from Xtreme Software, which entered liquidation in early 2016.

The Xuno software offers a whole-school management solution, including features for roll-marking, absentee messaging to parents, daily schedule organising, progress reports and portals for student learning.

Accelerus managing director David Jones said the incorporation of the Xuno product would bolster his company’s school software offering, which includes a suite of assessment and reporting tools for student development from foundation to Year 12 .

"Xuno is a well regarded and mature student management system and its integration into Accelerus will consolidate on-going enhancements for the benefit of schools, pupils and indeed families," he said.

"This acquisition will enable Accelerus to provide an end-to-end school management system, for which increasingly schools are asking, at an affordable price.

"It will also add access to customisable assessment and reporting tools to the existing Xuno attendance, sign-in/sign-out kiosks, email and SMS communication, parent teacher interview bookings and online payments systems."

Accelerus provides services to more than 1100 schools throughout Australia.
