ACA Pacific is bringing Shield Alliance’s flagship anti-phishing solution OhPhish to Australia and New Zealand as its exclusive distributor.
Shield Alliance, part of security certification body EC-Council, acquired Indian startup OhPhish in April 2019, which the company said helped pave the way for a broader expansion into ANZ.
OhPhish’s platform allows companies to simulate phishing attacks on their staff via email, voice or SMS, all of which can be generated from a single platform. The faux attacks mimic real-life scenarios in order to teach employees about real attacks and how to prevent data breaches.
The platform also includes integrated e-learning and gamification models as part of its Learning Management System.
Shield Alliance regional sales director for ANZ Manish Karanji offered a glimpse into the vendor’s strategy for the local market. “Our sales strategy is based on developing a strong channel network, and we believe channels in ANZ is going to play a huge role in penetrating the market. With our partner skill set training & partner program we are aiming to add value to ANZ partners in the relevant domains.”
Karanji confirmed that ACA Pacific would be Shield Alliance’s exclusive distributor for ANZ.
“ACA Pacific has a long-standing reputation for success in the data protection and system security space, building a strong network of partners and associated programs to enable the channel to offer best-of-breed solutions to its clients,” said ACA Pacific director HB Tan.
“We recognise the OhPhish solution that Shield Alliance brings to the market is an exciting one that tackles a challenge that many organizations have been facing – how to strengthen the weakest link the information security chain – humans.”
