In his role, Howe will be responsible for sales as well as customer and partner programs in the region. He will also oversee day-to-day operations in both Australia and New Zealand and report directly to Peter Chai, vice-president and general manager APAC, 3Com Corporation.
“We are very fortunate to have Howe as part of our management team in APR. With him at the helm of the Australia and New Zealand team, I am very confident that we now have the leadership in place that will help us win in both the large enterprise and SMB markets in those countries,” said Chai.
Previously holding a position as national sales manager for GlobalConnect Australia, an Avaya Business Partner and Systems Integrator, Howe played a key role in building a sales and marketing team that grew revenues and GlobalConnect’s customer base.
“Howe’s hands-on channel and sales experience gives him an excellent insight into 3Com’s distribution model as well as the local operations of our resellers. His appointment will help up drive partner relationships, leading 3Com into the next phase of growth,” said Chai.
A seven year stint at Avaya saw Howe take the role of channel director responsible for Avaya’s South Pacific Business Partner program and, more recently, director of business development for Australia and New Zealand.
