Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer took to the CES keynote stage today for what will probably be the last time. The company has announced it will be pulling out of the show indefinitely starting next year.
(Read about it here.)
Microsoft's final keynote address wasn't much of a showstopper in terms of new products, but it did feature a few intriguing announcements, including the Nokia Lumia 900, Windows 8-flavoured Ultrabooks and some Kinect goodies -- y'know, for kids. Attendees also got an in-depth taste of the Windows 8 Metro interface and online Store, which is due to hit in February.
Throughout the event, ladies were invited to stare at
American Idol heartthrob Ryan Seacrest and his designer stubble, both of whom MCd the event. There was also a flash mob choir singing about Twitter, for reasons we can't begin to fathon.
