Last month, CRN invited past winners, sponsors and some of the channel’s top companies to an exclusive event at the Ivy Penthouse in Sydney to launch the 2014 CRN Fast50 – and to reveal the major changes to the coming awards.

This marks the sixth year of the CRN Fast50, and we promise this year will be bigger and better than ever. How? Well, we’ve raised the revenue threshold to qualify for entry, making a more level playing field between small, medium and large companies. We have also introduced three additional categories.
The largest company on the list will now receive a special recognition, the Fast50 Leader Award, for its ability to combine speed with scale. Another new award will be judged by the team here at CRN, along with our fellow IT brands, editors past and present, and industry members – we’re calling this the CRN Excellence Award.
And finally, the most exciting and prestigious of the new awards is the CRN Fast50 Icon Award. We have created a short-list of the most powerful companies in the channel. Every entrant to this year’s Fast50 will be required to pick one company from this short-list: the company they most respect and admire. The winner of the CRN Fast50 Icon Award will have claim to being the most admired company in the industry. Winning this award will say that the leaders of tomorrow see this company as the leader of today.
