Router manufacturer Linksys has signed Synnex as a distributor in Australia.
Cisco sold the well-known networking brand to Belkin in 2013, with the company now finding its SMB roots again and, according to Synnex Australia, going after the "broader volume networking business".
Linksys ANZ business manager Greg Morrison said the Synnex deal would increase "distribution choice" for Australian resellers.
"This partnership is an obvious fit for us, complementing and building on our existing distribution network," he said. "It also reinforces the Belkin mobility business and the Linksys consumer and SMB product set."
Last August, CRN reported Belkin director Wayne Newton as saying Cisco had "eroded" the Linksys brand by purely marketing it as a consumer label. He also said at the time that Belkin had invested heavily since the acquisition to bring back products for the SMB market.
"We are really looking forward to working with Synnex to build value for customers through the delivery of highly adaptable solutions for home and small business connectivity," said Morrison.
