Mavridis vanishes from Brennan IT roadmap

S Central CEO founder Peter Mavridis will not join Brennan IT as part of the sale of his company's assets to the IT service provider.

According to a spokesperson for Brennan IT, the company made the decision not to offer Mavridis a position late yesterday.

On Friday, Brennan IT CEO Dave Stevens told CRN that Mavridis would be offered a position within Brennan IT.

"Peter is a great guy," he said. "We really need to utilise his selling skills, how good he is with clients, with vendors, with channels for that matter."

Yesterday morning, Brennan IT again reaffirmed plans to include Mavridis in the company's future in a press release.

"Under the agreement, most of S Central's 75 staff will be retained, with managing director Peter Mavridis taking up a role in the newly expanded business," the release said.

But by 4pm yesterday afternoon, any such plan was called off following a string of accusations from S Central staff and trade creditors that Mavridis had failed to paid their entitlements for several months.

The Brennan IT press release was pulled from the PRWire.com.au feed at 4:40pm.

A spokesperson for Brennan IT confirmed that Mavridis' employment "was an option [Brennan] were considering as part of the short term integration of the company.

"However upon further consideration Brennan believed that it was not in their best interest to offer him a position at Brennan. So yes, in short, Brennan chose not to bring him on board."
