Cybersecurity in 2025 is a board level priority, with businesses globally now enduring over 1900 cyber-attacks each week – an increase of 47 per cent year-on-year.

In ANZ, more than four out of five CIOs now ranked cybersecurity as their single highest investment priority.

While having an incident response capability is now considered essential for organisations of all sizes, for many, their ability to mount an effective defence is hamstrung by a lack of funds and available skills.

This need has created an opportunity for technology partners, but they too have been hampered by the same lack of skilled professionals.

Dicker Data is empowering partners to deliver 24/7 security services through a strategic partnership with Chorus Cyber, a leader in AI- and automation-driven security solutions for Microsoft environments. Chorus combines human expertise with advanced AI and automation to provide comprehensive protection, not only for Microsoft ecosystems but also for the broader IT landscape, securing environments across multiple vendors.

According to Dicker Data’s cloud solution architect Saeed Nouri, Chorus delivered a fully managed security operation centre (SOC)-as a-service.

“This provides partners with round the clock monitoring, AI powered threat detection, and automated response, all built on Microsoft’s security stack,” Nouri said. “It eliminates the need for partners to build their own SOC, which is a significant saving on cost and complexity, and customers benefit from accredited global team of analysts and incident responders delivering enterprise grade protection that is scalable to any business.”

Nouri said Chorus differentiated from other providers through its Microsoft-centric approach, including its certification within the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA).

The partnership meant partners could now offer comprehensive managed security services including rapid incident response, proactive threat hunting, and detailed compliance reporting, which would assist in building long term trust with customers.

One partner that has embraced the Chorus Cyber offering is the leading managed service provider efex.

According to chief revenue officer David Rose, Chorus enables efex to deliver a true end-to-end managed cyber solution through which clients could align to global frameworks and standards.

“Being a Microsoft-led MSP, we know that products like Microsoft Sentinel and MXDR are the right fit for emerging and mature organisations,” Rose said. “And the confidence we have through Chorus, backed by Dicker Data, means we have moved our internal SOC over to Chorus, which has been a welcome change.”
