The Digital Transformation Agency has revealed that the whole-of-government Cloud Services Panel has awarded more than $100 million in contracts.
The agency said the milestone covered 201 contracts since the panel launched in 2015, across its software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service and cloud consulting categories.
The DTA said 91 agencies had released quote requests through the panel, with some 1300 users registered from all tiers of government.
“The panel’s service catalogue is constantly changing, with new services added every month,” the DTA said.
“Existing services are also regularly updated, and sellers are able to propose new services and categories without waiting for a panel refresh.”
The panel currently has 177 members offering more than 500 products and services, after opening the panel for new sellers twice since its launch. Some of the members include AC3, Cirrus Networks, Data#3, Dimension Data, among others.
The DTA reopened the panel to new sellers in June, with the selected companies expected to be added early next year.
“From 2019, the panel will open more regularly, using online submissions and agile evaluation methods to make joining the panel simpler and faster for buyers and sellers,” DTA said.
