Barracuda Networks released the Barracuda SSL VPN in New Zealand and Australia, following its acquisition of 3SP, which makes the SSL Explorer solution.

The appliance will combine 3SP’s technology to offer security solutions for organisations in New Zealand and Australia.

According to Dominic Whitehand, managing director of WhiteGold Solutions, Barracuda Networks’ has chosen a technology area where organisations are craving answers to immediate problems to do with secure, remote access and produced a solution through a mixture of technology acquisition, software interface design and hardware form factor.

“There are significant opportunities for the local channel with the Barracuda SSL VPN and we will be straight to work in assisting our growing channel of Barracuda Networks’ partners in generating demand and closing sales through our highly-successful Barracuda Networks product demo program,” he said.

“Now is the ideal time to join the ranks as a Barracuda Networks partner and enjoy strong sales growth across multiple Barracuda Networks’ product lines.”

The Barracuda SSL VPN is an integrated hardware and software solution enabling secure, clientless remote access to internal network resources from any Web browser.

It provides customers with access control to internal network shares, internal Websites, and other intranet applications.

It also integrates with third-party authentication mechanisms to control user access levels and provide single sign-on.
