Former Westcon Group Australia sales director Peter Hewett has been appointed Kaspersky Lab's managing director for the Asia Pacific region.
Hewett made the leap to the vendor role after more than two and a half years at the distributor, where he also held the role of regional sales director. Before Westcon, he also held several roles in sales and IT management at Sophos.
He replaces former managing director Harry Cheung, who retired after six years in the position.
Hewett will be responsible for Kaspersky’s sales, marketing and business development functions across the Asia Pacific region.
